FINAL SPRING HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE COLLECTION

Household Waste Collection
Scituate
and Cohasset will host the last South Shore Recycling Cooperative (SSRC)
household hazardous waste collection this spring. It will take place on June 16 from 9 am to 1
pm at the Scituate Highway Dept., 68 Capt. Pierce Rd.
Residents
of the host towns, as well as Duxbury,
Middleboro, Norwell, Rockland, Weymouth and
Whitman may attend at no charge, with proof of residency.
Residents
of Abington, Hanover, Hanson, Hingham, Hull, Kingston and Plymouth must obtain
a signed authorization form from their town's responsible department
(Abington Board of Health, Plymouth Marine and Environment Dept., all others
DPW) to attend at their Town's expense. Those
Towns may limit subsidized quantities.
Residents
from any town without authorization, and commercial generators, may
attend with a check made out to Stericycle Environmental.
While
not hazardous, USABLE latex paint and stain will be accepted for recycling at
this event.

Memorial Day parade is Monday, May 28th. Everyone marching will meet at the High School at 9 am and the parade will step off at 9:30 am and proceed to the Gold Star Mothers Monument for a Memorial Day service.
Following the service, you are welcome to attend the two (2) square dedications.

Looking for help placing flags on Veterans' graves at the Hull Village Cemetery.
If you can give a couple hours, arrive at the cemetery by 9AM, Saturday, May 26th to meet John Coggins. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 27th.

MESSAGE FROM THE TOWN CLERK REGARDING NEW VOTING MACHINES
The Town Clerk’s office is excited to announce that the Town
will begin the use of new optical scanning tabulators, called ImageCast,
beginning with the Annual Town Election on May 21st. This voting equipment has
been certified by the Secretary of State’s Office and brings the highest level
of voting standards.
The ImageCast technology utilizes dual memory cards as well
as PDF imaging that adds layers of election security. The enhanced voter interface
LED screen allows voters to watch the process of casting their ballot as each
step is shown on the screen for the voter to follow.

FRIENDLY REMINDER FROM THE TOWN CLERK REGARDING ABSENTEE VOTING
FRIENDLY REMINDER! Today is the last day for
absentee ballots for the May 21st Annual Town Election. Voters who are unable
to vote on election day may complete an Absentee Application and return it to
the Town Clerk's office before 5:00 p.m on May 17th. We cannot guarantee the on time delivery before election day
therefore, it is recommended to vote absentee in person at the clerk's
office up until 5:00 p.m. Applications can be found on the Town Clerk's webpage

This is a reminder that all 2017 parking stickers and visitor passes will
expire on May 31, 2018. Please be sure
to purchase your new stickers and/or visitor passes at your earliest
convenience. Stickers are sold at the Police Department located at 1 School
Street, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You
will need to provide proper identification, proof of residency in Hull and a
current registration certificate for each vehicle you are purchasing stickers
for.

HONOR FAMILIES OF THE FALLEN AT FENWAY PARK ON JULY 28TH
On Saturday, July 28th, Home Base, a Red Sox
Foundation and
Massachusetts General
Hospital Program and the Boston Red Sox will
honor the surviving families of fallen Service Members
and
Veterans with a special tribute at the 9th annual Run to Home
Base presented by New Balance charity
race and during the on-field pre-game ceremony of the Boston Red Sox vs.
Minnesota Twins game that evening.
