NATIONAL GRID UPDATE AS OF 8-5-17

This week National Grid has completed approximately 80% of gas main on Main Street and are making every effort to complete the project prior to the high school students returning to school.  We anticipate gasing in the main next week followed by service replacement.  We have also begun main installation on the fourth location on the list; Summit/Atlantic Avenue.  We anticipate completing main installation next week followed by service placement on Summit/Atlantic Avenue. We will have three crews working today on Main Street, V street and Atlantic Avenue 8/5. National Grid has noted that any work on Saturday’s cannot commence before 8:00 am.

M&X and Riley crews have been assigned to complete the gas main replacement for the locations below in the order listed. In addition, one National Grid in-house crew will be addressing the following streets listed below.  V Street main installation will be completed today and National Grid will begin replacing service on Monday 8/7.

We have sent abutter notices for 132-158 SAMOSET AV, HUL, & HADASSAH WY.  Our contractor will also be calling in dig-safe locations for the projects listed below and we ask that the Town plan to prioritize markings based on the order noted below. We have added locations to the list below.

M&X Locations

Once main and service are complete, we allow a 90 day settling period prior to final paving. This is the list of project completed this construction season.
