Mandatory Water Ban Effective August 9, 2020

LEVEL II MANDATORY TOTAL WATER BAN
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Dear Valued Customer,

Effective Immediately,  August 9, 2020,  the  Weir  River  Water System will be  instituting a
Level  II Mandatory Total  Water Ban.  These restrictions are based on an evaluation of current
drought  conditions and a need to conserve and  maintain  water  supply  and  service  throughout
Hingham,  Hull,  and  North Cohasset. The  levels  of our available water supplies have  reached a
critical state.

LEVEL II: Mandatory Total Ban – All non-essential outdoor usage is prohibited (irrigation using
automatic sprinklers or soaker hoses; the washing of vehicles, exterior building surfaces, parking
lots, driveways, and sidewalks; and, filling swimming pools).
We will be monitoring the situation on a daily basis to ensure compliance and provide updates on
ban as soon as they are available.
