Virtual Open House - Help Shape the Future of Hull's Parks, Recreation and Open Space

For Immediate Release: September 8, 2020

Help Shape the Future of Hull’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space

Virtual open house now open online

Do you live in Hull? Are you interested in helping to shape the future of open space and recreation in your community? We are gathering input on the draft plan for improving Hull’s parks, open space and recreational facilities¾and your opinion is needed.

The Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP) will guide Hull’s decisions and investments to protect, maintain and improve open space, parks and recreational resources. Completing a plan will make Hull eligible for state funds to acquire and improve conservation and recreation land. In order to help gather further public input on draft goals and actions, a virtual open house has launched online. The virtual open house poses questions to visitors about excerpts of the draft plan. A copy of the entire draft plan is also available on the Town of Hull’s webpage at https://www.town.hull.ma.us/open-space-recreation-committee .

The open house can be accessed at www.mapc.ma/HullOSRPdraft and will be open until Sunday, Sept. 27.

The Town of Hull with the assistance of MAPC initiated this planning process in 2019 and this is one of the final opportunities for residents to give feedback. Previous public engagement includes an in-person community forum in September 2019 and an online survey this winter that gathered almost 400 responses.

For more information and with questions about the project, contact Hull Director of Planning and Community Development Chris DiIorio at cdiiorio@town.hull.ma.us or 781-925-3595.
