Beach Grass Planting CANCELED

Beach Grass Planting CANCELED
The Town of Hull canceled its annual spring beach grass planting event on
Saturday, March 21
due to Coronavirus concerns.  No make-up date is planned. In the spirit of advice and direction from public health officials, Governor Charlie Baker, and national leaders, the Town of Hull is taking proactive and preventative measures to keep our community safe.
If you wish to plant beach grass on the primary dune, the Town will provide beach
grass, but we strongly encourage individual planters to practice social distancing
measures for their safety and that of others.
Beach grass (and planting instructions) will be available for interested individuals
beginning
Saturday, March 21st at 8 AM at the Department of Public Works located
at
9 Nantasket Ave. Beachgrass will be available for planting until March 31st. A
limited number of planting tools will be available for individuals to sign out. If you do
sign out a planting tool, please return to DPW
before 4 PM on Saturday or during their
regular business hours when you are done planting.
If you wish to have beach grass
delivered to an area along Beach Ave or your residence, please contact:
beachgrassplanting@gmail.com (preferred) or by leaving a message at the Town of
Hull’s Conservation Dept. at 781.925.8102. Please note: no planting should occur after
March 31
st.
